Feature Updates Hey… We have just configured MMS for Airtel users too. If you are an Airtel subscriber, you can upload your photos & videos to Mobshare by sending it as an MMS to 55563. (For all other mobile operators, it continues to be me@mobshare.in)
Though the normal rates on Airtel is Rs 5/MMS, 55563 would be charged just Rs 3/MMS & it is exclusive to Mobshare.

BTW, if you didn’t notice, ‘63‘ stands for ‘me‘ on the number pad!

Help We have gone live today on our new long code, 98465 55563. The short code 55563 is live already on MTNL & Vodafone. We are progressing on integration with other operators in full pace. Will update here as & when they happen.
The story behind the specific number is pretty simple. As per TRAI guidelines, all short-codes have to begin with 5. So maximizing the number of 5’s makes the short code easier to remember. Nokia already grabbed 55555 years back, so we had to think of a two digit number that would be easy to type on your mobile, and at the same time associated with Mobshare in someway. You already know that direct photo uploads to mobshare from your mobile phones happen by sending them as MMS to me@mobshare.in . 63 denotes me on your mobile keypad! 55563 is pretty easy to tap on your phone. And you’ll tend to remember it if you do it once.
What this short/long code basically allows you to do are two things in specific:
1) Join Mobshare by sending your Name to 55563 / 98465 55563
For eg: If your name is Liza, SMS Liza to 55563 / 98465 55563
This would create a half activated account on Mobshare. If you want to upgrade at any time, simply register at mobshare.in (from your PC) or at m.mobshare.in (from your mobile)
2) Add people to your Broadcast by sending their Mobile Numbers separated by commas

Tariffs:
If you are on MTNL, sending SMS to 55563 is completely FREE of cost.
If you are on Vodafone, sending SMS to 55563 costs you Rs 1 only.
Be from any operator, if you send SMS to 98465 55563, it would be billed at your standard STD SMS rates.
